Magis Mundi Unveiled: A Participant’s Tale

1. Where did you hear about the MAGIS MUNDI program?

I heard about the MAGIS MUNDI program on LinkedIn. It was a post shared by Corina Faurescu, Senior HR Manager, Booking Holdings Romania. I decided to apply immediately.

2. What convinced you to participate in this program?

I wanted to learn more about Data Privacy as I was dealing with GDPR in my marketing role at that time. I also thought it would be good to branch out and learn new concepts and also find out more about Booking Holdings.

3. How did the program assist you in preparing for job interviews in your new field?

I had multiple CVs already prepared and some previous interview training, so that part I had already covered. The program gave me more confidence to put myself out there and go for another interview round.

4. Were you able to secure a job in your new career path after completing the program? If so, how long did it take?

Changing my career path was a long process. Since the training it took 6 more months and it started before this program. I also entered another course after MAGIS MUNDI ended and then I obtained a certificate that helped me secure my current role.

5. What new skills or knowledge have you gained from the program that you find most valuable?

It was a lot of valuable information put together by the trainers, and I appreciated their openness and willingness to share it with us.

6. How was the overall experience? Would you recommend other people to join the MAGIS MUNDI program?

I really enjoyed the intense week I had with the MAGIS MUNDI trainers from Booking Holdings Romania. It was a perfect combination of information and real life examples, it also included questions and quizzes to keep everybody alert. I would definitely recommend anybody interested in this subject to join the program for the next session.

7. What will you tell someone who is thinking about professional reconversion but is afraid to do it?

I would tell them that professional reconversion is not just a nice phrase, it can really happen. It takes dedication and hard work not only until finding a new career or job, but also after that. Keep an open mind and take a chance!

Reflections from MAGIS MUNDI Alumni

I honestly cannot think of a better introductory course in cybersecurity than what I have seen here. All in all, the CDR course has vastly solidified my cybersecurity foundations. What made the experience even more special was the incredible support from the Booking Holdings team, everyone was genuinely eager to teach us, extremely helpful, and kind.
I’ve learned so much – some things I didn’t even realize I needed to know – and this experience reminded me that good things often take time, and that achieving your goals takes patience, hard work, and a clear sense of direction.
Thank you Magis Mundi Team! The attention to details, the quality of the workshops, and especially the kindness and professionalism of all the Booking Holdings team made a lasting impression. It’s rare to see such a well-designed program focused on creating real impact for individuals that are ready to adapt, learn and take new directions.
It was an experience that broadened my horizons, helped me develop my power skills and, at the same time, allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of data and data processing tools in our day-to-day work. I wholeheartedly recommend this opportunity, and if you ever get the chance to join the Magis Mundi program in the future, don’t miss it!
Stepping out of the comfort zone truly paid off — the networking opportunities were inspiring, and the content delivered by the entire program team was nothing short of exceptional. From insightful discussions to practical takeaways, every moment was a chance to grow and connect.
The trainers were really friendly and well prepared. They encouraged and answered all of the questions and gave us multiple analogies to help us understand better. I liked that I acquired a lot of useful knowledge.
The information was easy to follow for someone that didn’t know anything about the subject before.
The passion with which every subject has been tackled by the presenter as well as it being a very open environment i.e. no such thing as stupid questions.
In technical training, I really enjoyed the hands-on practice exercises, particularly in SQL and Tableau, as they helped strengthen my understanding of the tools. Additionally, I appreciated the opportunity to gain insights into how different roles contribute to and support various business processes, which expanded my perspective on the collaboration within teams.
The soft skills section was particularly interesting, as it prepares you for future interviews across various fields, rather than being limited to a specific specialization or position.
